Aoidos emerged in 2019, among mugs of mead at the iconic Taberna 58, in Coimbra.
The result of a mix of influences, from Death and Gojira to Behemoth and Watain, the band's sound seeks to combine the weight and groove of Death Metal with the dark ambiences and cutting melodies of Black Metal.
Aoidos are on the rise, with 3 singles and 22 concerts since 2023, including a tour that spanned Portugal and Spain.
With performances at festivals like Bajonca Rock Fest and MosherFest, the band secured 2nd place in the Laurus Metal Battle, guaranteeing their participation in the Laurus Nobilis Music Fest in 2024.

They are now about to release their debut album, which explores the human experience of anxiety and depression. Get ready for a deep and impactful musical experience!

“Aoidos” means bards in Ancient Greek, and like the bards of old, our purpose is to tell stories, but through the Dark Arts of Metal!
